The Hurling 365 initiative has been a great success this year. Every Tuesday for the last 6 weeks our pupils in classes 3rd – 6th have been enjoying an early start to their day and getting in some early exercise.  Thank you to The Duffry Rovers club for organising the 365 initiative and for their strong continued support to the promotion of Gaelic Games in our school.

Junior and Senior Infants had lots of Easter fun. They had an egg hunt and made beautiful Easter decorations.

1st and 2nd class enjoyed a Teddy Bear’s picnic this month.

3rd and 4th class had a special visit from Daniel and Chris, as part of the CUPHAT project that we are involved in this year. During the visit they discussed what facilities there are in Kiltealy, what activities the children like doing in Kiltealy and why do they like living in their local area. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit.

3rd and 4th class also enjoyed a special visit from John who shared stories about his schooldays and what it was like going to school in 1946.

5th and 6th class enjoyed a very educational trip to Ballycrystal on Monday 24th April where they took part in Citizen Science activities including kick-sampling, photo posts, the Litterbug app, and the CrowdWater app.
