Our school has just received its second Green Flag.Congratulations to Mrs Duff and all school staff on this achievement.The school continues to work on our Green Schools initiative by further developing the School Garden and the Outdoor Classroom
Kiltealy School promotes a happy culture for pupils and staff thereby creating the best learning environment.At our schools request the pupils and teachers completed a one day training on bullying prevention.The training day was facilitated by the Department of Education.It was an enjoyable and successful day.This year our school will continue to focus on keeping Kiltealy School a Bully Free Zone.
The Christmas Card Project is well on its way.This project offers all students the opportunity to create their own personalised Christmas cards.Thses cards will be available to purchase.More information to follow after the designs have gone to print.
The Junior and Senior classes were busy creating Roald Dahl characters and each pupil created their very own octopus.
Second and Third classes have been busy making turtles and promoting inclusivity.Being included and working as a team fosters a happy and productive learning environment.
Third and Fourth have been working on Roald Dahl,Active School,Self Portraits and the theme of inclusivity.
Fifth and Sixth created lovely Personality Silhouettes and they welcome us to their classroom by reminding us that 5th and 6th make a great team.
Fr. Fegan celebrated our first school Mass on Tuesday 12th September. The Liturgy was prepared by the students of 5th and 6th class, and was complemented by singing and music. Fr. Fegan prayed for blessings on the work of students, teachers and families for the upcoming year.
Fr. Morris was fondly remembered and prayed for. The Mass ended with the blessing of holy water.

The day began with relay races – running relay, ball relay, wheelbarrow relay, t-shirt relay, mini hurl relay, frog relay and human relay.

Board Of Management meeting 26th June
A meeting took place on Monday 26th June and the next meeting will take place on Tues 19th Sept.
