The idea of implementing an active class of the month was considered by the committee.A small prize could be given to the monthly winners.
Congratulations to all the Children who took part in our annual 5th and 6th Class Christmas Projects here in Kiltealy N.S. Once again the standard of the projects was exceptionally high. The projects provide a lovely opportunity for the children to showcase their own personal interests and hidden talents. Well done to all the children who took part.
Congratulations to all the children who won medals in our ‘Problem Solving Quiz’. Every Tuesday and Thursday the children take part in a maths table quiz, this is part of our school improvement plan. The quiz’s have resulted in a very high standard of mental maths and problem solving abilities amongst our students here in Kiltealy N.S.
Congratulations to all the winners of our Christmas Card Competition. The standard of art in our school is exceptionally high so I would like to congratulate all our children who took part. We have a very talented bunch of artists in Kiltealy N.S.
Thanks to everyone who attended our very first school open night. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to show their parents, grandparents, family and friends around our school .
5th & 6th class had a busy few weeks preparing their Christmas Projects. The standard was superb again this year and all pupils should be extremely proud of their efforts. All projects were highly commended by staff and pupils. The projects were on display at our recent Open Night and were a great attraction for all the community who attended on the night. Well done to all involved. Keep an eye out on this page for our top 5 winners!
Kiltealy N.S are having a Children’s Christmas Mass on the 15 th December at 7 pm, followed by a School Open Night. The full pot from our weekly Split The Pot Draw will be given out on the night
The Irish Defence Forces visited Kiltealy N.S. on Monday the 23rd of November . The officers delivered the tricolour and copies of the proclamation ahead of the 1916 Centenary Celebrations. An extract from the Proclamation was read by Ian Blake. Saoirse Hanrahan and Ryan Dunne were presented with the National Flag on behalf of the school. The pupils then had a chance to ask the members of the Defence Force questions about the Irish Army and 1916
